This sensor module uses a pair of infrared transmitter and receiver tubes to detect obstacles. When the transmitted IR light hits a reflective surface, the receiver captures the reflected signal. The onboard comparator circuit then processes it, lighting up the green indicator LED and outputting a digital low-level signal.
The detection distance can be adjusted via the potentiometer knob, with an effective range of 2–60 cm. Compact and easy to use, this module is ideal for applications such as robot obstacle avoidance, smart cars, line counting, and similar automation projects.
