This Force Sensitive Resistor (FSR) features a 0.5" diameter round sensing area that changes resistance based on applied pressure. With no force applied, its resistance is greater than 1MΩ, while increased pressure lowers the resistance. It can detect forces ranging from 100g to 10kg.
The sensor includes two 0.1" pitch pins for easy breadboard use and a peel-and-stick rubber backing for simple mounting.
FSRs are easy to integrate and ideal for detecting pressure, touch, or force, though they are not highly precise. They’re great for sensing squeezes or presses, but not recommended as an accurate scale.
